Ever since our foundation more than 200 years ago, we have seen it as our social responsibility to provide access to basic financial products for everyone in our region. Therefore, we support those who are affected by poverty or social exclusion not only with financial but also non-financial services to enable economic growth and prosperity in our region. After all, social commitment is deeply rooted in our history and remains part of our DNA.
Zweite Sparkasse
Financial literacy
With "FLiP", the Erste Financial Life Park, we support children and young people in improving their financial literacy. FLiP promotes financial self-responsibility, takes precautions against individual over-indebtedness and thus ultimately also contributes to poverty prevention.
Time Bank
Time Bank is the volunteer portal of Erste Bank und Sparkassen and based on the idea that money is not the only thing that can be invested. Personal commitment and practical help are often needed even more. Thus, Time Bank connects our employees with our partner organisations and offers them the opportunity to volunteer in a wide variety of fields. This includes individual and group volunteering as well as in-kind donations and various training opportunities, etc.
ERSTE Stiftung
As the Austrian private savings bank foundation, ERSTE Foundation is not only obliged to act in a charitable manner, but also bears a special responsibility as the main shareholder of Erste Group. ERSTE Foundation is an effective partner of a strong, self-confident civil society in Central and South-Eastern Europe and focuses on financial health for all, the preservation of a democratic Europe as well as free spaces for contemporary culture.
