Located in the business part of New Belgrade, with excellent infrastructural connections to other parts of the city, the Sirius Offices complex will be built in two phases.  The completion of the first stage construction is planned for March 2017, when the first tenants will enter the building whilst the second phase will entail the construction of 12,500 square meters gross and additional 160 parking spaces. The guiding idea of the Sirius project is environmental sustainability, so the building will be constructed according to the highest environmental standards in order to provide ideal working conditions and optimise tenant costs. Business complex will be constructed in accordance to the BREEAM** guidelines as energy efficient buildings, providing minimal energy consumption for heating and cooling, assuring use of renewable and recycled materials. Strabag will perform the construction work, ensuring the high quality of Sirius Offices.

“In the past 15 years, Austrian companies invested EUR 2.8 billion in Serbia through different projects, placing Austria at the top of the list of foreign investors in Serbia. With almost 200 years’ experience in the area of financial service provision and experience gained across CEE, Erste Group is initiating yet another successful project with the first phase of Sirius Offices’ complex construction in Belgrade, worth EUR 39 million. Belgrade is swiftly becoming a regional business centre and we believe in its further development. We are certain that our new project will be equally successful as our operation in Serbia so far”, stated Richard Wilkinson, CEO of Erste Group Immorent.

“On the Sirius Offices construction start, we will donate EUR 10,000 to the Retirement home Bežanijska kosa that is a part of Belgrade’s Gerontology centre. Great number of today’s tenants of Bežanijska kosa Retirement home participated actively when New Belgrade settlement was built and it is due to their efforts to build it that we today have the opportunity to continue their path and invest in this part of the city with this business complex. For that we are thankful to them,” added Mr. Wilkinson.

The office building was named after the brightest star in the sky, which, in fact, presents a binary star system, reminiscent of the Sirius Office buildings.

“Erste Group is actively present at the Serbian market financing businesses, providing services to the population, whilst in the financing of the real estate projects in Serbia we have so far invested EUR 150 million. Our portfolio is consisted of shopping malls, hotels, residential buildings and storehouses. In line with the business policy of all Erste Group members, we are satisfied that our new office block will also be environmentally sustainable, but also that it will be characterised by innovative and modern technical solutions,“ stated Slavko Caric, CEO of Erste Bank.

“Belgrade is a city that is constantly being built as well a city that receives new investments every day. This is exactly what makes Belgrade move forward bringing new jobs and positioning our city as a modern European capital. It is our task to provide investors a favorable business environment and to make it possible for them to invest in our capital, and the results achieved so far just say that we succeed in that.” stated Sinisa Mali, Mayor of Belgrade.
