Bernhard Spalt to succeed Andreas Treichl as CEO of Erste Group Bank AG from January 2020

• This will be effective from January 2020 on Andreas Treichl stepping down, ahead of the end of his mandate in June 2020
• Andreas Treichl has been CEO of Erste Group Bank AG since July 1997 and a Member of the Management Board since October 1994

Erste Group Bank AG (Erste Group) announces that Andreas Treichl will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2019 and that the Supervisory Board has today appointed Bernhard Spalt, currently Chief Risk Officer of Erste Bank Oesterreich, to succeed him.
